April Bus Trip What a wonderful day was had on the trip to Bob’s shed at Quirindi, a beautiful morning to travel up the New England Hwy with a stop at Scone for morning tea, the country side is so green and vibrant following the rain. At Scone a lovely cup of tea or coffee and beautiful hot cross buns that Kathryn prepared. From Scone we continued through the prestigious studs between Scone and Murrurundi then over the Liverpool range to Willow Tree and onto Quirindi and our destination Bob’s Shed. On entering it was like stepping back in time to our childhood with so many displays and everyone commenting my mum or dad used that or I remember using that as a kid. There were the displays of model trains, old barber’s shop and motorcycles and cars, different types of tools etc, the bar with so many different types of beer cans and bottles whiskeys rums etc. We sat down to a wonderful BBQ lunch with ice cream and fruit salad surrounded by hundreds of old photos and memorabilia. After lunch a final walk through the wonderful displays and back on the coach Heading home about 10 klms into the trip home Dennis our driver received a phone call from Bobs Shed to ask if we had everyone and with no where to turn around there was a quick count then after a few questions Dennis realised the date 1st of April a great laugh was had and we then continued on with Dennis entertaining us with some of his dad jokes. A great day out once again arranged thanks to Kathryn.
